Eduardo "El Gato" Romero was born in Unquillo, Córdoba, Argentina; the day July 17, 1954. Currently when you return to Argentina is a native of Villa Allende in Cordoba.
Romero is known worldwide as "The Cat". His grandmother nicknamed him so when he was very young because he always climbed trees and sat on the roofs. Many people today believe that the nickname came from his way of playing on the court, his walk in the courts among other things. Eduardo grew up in the environment of golf, as his father played professionally in Córdoba golf, and even his grandfather was a golfer. From an early age he had already decided I was going to be professional golfer when he grows up.
He became a professional golfer in 1982 and played professionally since 1984. He currently plays in the U.S. Champions Tour, where he was voted the player Rookie of the Year in 2006.
Eduardo has over 100 career victories in all, including 8 victories on the European Tour and 6 wins on the Senior Tour. Dunhill and juice 8 cups represent Argentina in the World Cup 15 times, staying in second place in 2000 (Cup was played in Buenos Aires Golf). In 2006 he won the JELD WEN Tradition (a Major), and finished second in the Senior British Open (Another champion Major). All this in the year of his Senior Tour debut. In 2007 I continue playing well and finished second at the U.S. PGA Championship, and second in the Boeing Championship.
But Jack Romero best year on the Champions Tour was in 2008, where he earned three victories, including a major but the U.S. Senior Open. In 2008 also finished third in the Senior British Open.
