The Color of the Stakes in Golf
In Golf the different color with the stakes along the field is due to the indication of the penalties that apply if the player in an area falling penalized for example: a hazard, a pond, or " out of bounds. "

There are three different colors of stakes along the field, the stakes color: yellow, red, and white.
The color theme is treated stakes in the " Quick Guide to the Rules of Golf "and mentioned in the chapter" Definitions "of the Book of Rules, which is re-dropped options in more detail, but I find very useful the graphical explanation colors as an introduction to the topic.
Beyond that there may be some specific local rules (defining specific areas of re-dropped, with different color stick, etc.), The general principle of the color of the stakes is:

The yellow stakes mark that should fall into the area in question (eg, by falling into a lake with yellow stakes), you should "drop" the ball to the back of the pond, or lagoon behind without gaining advantage to the hole.
Red stakes mark that should fall into the area in question (eg, falling into a lake with red stakes), the ball does drop of Golf must be lateral, or does drop the ball on the side without crossing the lagoon or gaining an advantage toward the hole.
Finally the white picket say the rules should be those that make the "off limits", in which the penalty is repiticion last kick from the playground. So you drop a ball from where you run the last shot.

The issue of re-dropped was treated according to the color in well above this note just to explain that the colors make the penalties, the issue will be discussed further in this section in future notes, as it requires a separate analysis due to timely and the number of possibilities to signals. Step by step.

The out of bounds stakes can be any color. The rules say no out of bounds should be white. The usual practice is that the outside limit is blank, but that does not indicate that this well defined in the rules of golf
Hello Efrain, thank you very much for your comment.
The Rules of Golf of the AAG said:
"Note 1 (out of bounds): Stakes and lines used to define out of bounds should be white." "Water Hazards Rule 26)
If your ball is in a water hazard (cuttings and / or yellow lines) you can play ... "" If your ball is in a lateral water hazard (cuttings and / or red lines), plus ... "
Here I leave you what the rules say, beyond as GolfPar4.com put in the note, local rules can compensate for this indication, but in most cases are in this way, thanks for reading Efrain.
Greetings!
