Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa, world number one for the past three years, confirmed his retirement as a professional golf career after a ten year career in which he won 27 tournaments, including the LPGA majors.

"Finally I want to live and enjoy the everyday things of life, that I could not keep playing (do)," said the golfer. "I want my family back to the time that I have not been able to in recent years," he said.

In a press release in April 2010, Lorena Ochoa Golf retired from being the number one player in the world rankings.

Ochoa married on December 4, 2009 with Andres Conesa, Aeromexico's president, and has since stressed the importance of his family.

Lorena 10 years needed to be active in the LPGA circuit to complete all the requirements needed to enter the Hall of Fame golf.

Lorena Ochoa, a 28-year-old is one of the best professional athletes in the history of Mexico and an example of improvement.
