Medal Play - Rule of Golf - Number 3
The Golf rulebook in rule number 3, regulates stroke play in the game of Golf.

The stroke play is usually called "Medal Play", this is the name used to describe stroke play tournaments in golf. The Medal Play is the most important game mode more common in golf tournaments. Playing under medal play, you must have carried out blow for blow through the stadium at the end of each hole, then at the end of the round of golf should add the total and subtract your handicap strokes. Example: The "round" for 42 strokes, and 40 hits to back, then your gross score is 82 hits, the gross score minus handicap score results in the net. In this case with a handicap 10, the bill, 82-10 = 72, and the net score would be 72. (Gross Score - Handicap Net Score Player =)
It is important to add that the handicap of a golfer is measured under the type of game MEDAL PLAY (Stroke Play).
This type of game is played with at least two players, each player is a marker of the blows of his playing partner, avoiding the snare in the game, scoring no hits, or the application of the rules to name a few examples.
The Book of Rules of Golf says:
Stroke Play
3-1 The Winner
Stroke play competition consists of competitors completing each hole of a stipulated round or rounds in each round and submit a score card which is writing the gross score of each hole. Each competitor is playing against all other competitors in the competition.
The competitor who plays the stipulated round or rounds in the fewest strokes is the winner.
In a handicap competition, the competitor with the lowest net score for the stipulated round or rounds is the winner.
Leave a pit 3-2 hole
If a competitor fails to hole the ball in any hole and does not correct his mistake before he made a stroke from the next teeing ground or, in the case of the last hole of the round, before he retired from the putting green, he is disqualified .
3 to 3 Doubt as to Procedure
a. Procedure
In stroke play, if a contestant during play of a hole, you have questions about your rights or the correct procedure, may, without penalty, complete the hole with two balls.
After the doubtful situation has arisen and prior to further action, the competitor must announce to his marker or fellow-competitor his decision to play two balls and which ball you want to be counted if the Rules permit.
The competitor must report the events to the Committee before returning his score card. If it does not proceed, he is disqualified.
Note: If the competitor takes action before trying the doubtful situation, Rule 3-3 is not applicable. The original score has the ball or, if the original ball is not one of the plays, the score with the first ball put into play is valid, even if the Rules do not allow the procedure adopted for that ball. However, the competitor incurs no penalty for playing a second ball, and any penalty that may be incurred only by playing that ball do not count in his score.
b. Determination of Score for Hole
(I) If the ball the previously selected as a valid competitor has been played in accordance with the Rules, the score with that ball is the competitor's score for the hole. Otherwise, the score is computed with the other ball if the Rules allow the procedure adopted it.
(Ii) If the competitor fails to announce in advance his decision to complete the hole with two balls, or which ball you want to compute the score with the original ball is valid, provided it has been played under the Rules. If the original ball is not one of the balls plays, the first ball put into play will be computed if it has been played under the Rules. Otherwise, the score with the other ball will be valid if the Rules allow the procedure adopted it.
Note 1: If a competitor plays a second ball under Rule 3-3, the strokes made after this Rule has been invoked with the ball must not be computed and penalty strokes incurred solely by playing that ball are disregarded.
Note 2: A second ball played under Rule 3-3 is not a provisional ball under Rule 27-2.
3-4 Refusal to Comply with a Rule
If a competitor refuses to comply with a rule and thus affect the rights of another competitor, he is disqualified.
3-5 General Penalty
In stroke play, the penalty for a breach of a Rule is two strokes, unless otherwise provided.
Bats and Balls
The R & A reserves the right to modify at any time, the Rules relating to bats and balls and to formulate or modify the rules regarding such interpretations.
Consider that the mode GolfPar4.com Medal Play is the essence of golf as you play against real field is his golf game against the golf course under certain conditions of soil and climate, and every golfer know how hard it is to this challenge, where it is lying to oneself, and the only thing that speaks is your golf game, or a Bogey is a Bogey, the same way that a Birdie Birdie is not a pair that was Birdie, or a double bogey, bogey actually was.
